Ep 10 - The History of the Bob Haircut

Episode Summary

The Bob is the most popular haircut in the world! Did you know?

A Bob haircut is more or less a one-length haircut at the shoulders or anywhere above the shoulders. Once judged as the ugliest hairstyle on earth, the Bob slowly became popular thanks to the influencers of that time: the movie stars. Tony states that these were the beginnings of the Bob haircut but the real birthplace was in 1962 with Vidal Sassoon’s five-point Bob. Sassoon changed the history of hairdressing not only with his bold styles but with his techniques. Modern icons like Victoria Beckham, Uma Turman, Meg Ryan, and Jennifer Aniston rocked this style through the ’80s and ’90s. During the 2000s more women have worn it, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, the Kardashians, and Cate Blanchett included!
